"The Foundation for Press Freedom (FLIP, for its Spanish acronym) rejected the repetitive conduct of Senator María Fernanda Cabal, regarding accusations and stigmatizations against journalists. It also announced it will file a disciplinary complaint before the Attorney General's Office to investigate the senator for going against constitutional values.
The most recent case that caught FLIP's attention has to do with several tweets against journalist Diana Salinas and the news outlet Cuestión Pública in which Cabal accuses her of being a "moral hitwoman" and that her investigations are "rigged, biased and reckless." This happened after the journalist had shared a column about threats received by another journalist, Daniel Coronell, for investigations against Álvaro Uribe Vélez."
