Colombia: Journalist asks mayor to rectify accusations against her for denouncing corruption

"Colombian] journalist Ana Cristina Restrepo asked the mayor of Medellín [Antioquia department, Colombia], Daniel Quintero, to rectify the accusations he made against her during an interview on Blu Radio. He said that Restrepo, who had questioned him about reports of alleged corruption during his administration, had received payments from the Todos Por Medellín citizen watchdog group known as a "veeduría."

Daniel Quintero spoke on the radio station on Sept. 21, where Restrepo questioned him about the complaints made by the veeduría about alleged corruption in contracts of the Mayor's Office of Medellín. During the interview, the politician pointed out at least three times that Restrepo had received payments from this veeduría."
