Journalists from Colombian TV news program say they are being harassed by former military member

On Jan. 7, journalists from the television news program Noticias Caracol in Colombia denounced alleged harassment from a former military member that reportedly started last August. Noticias Caracol reported that the man sent letters and gifts to the newsroom, and "began to frequent the area surrounding the channel's facilities."

Journalist Alejandra Murgas filed a complaint for sexual harassment and constraint, but it was archived less than 24 hours after being filed, according to Noticias Caracol. The complaint for constraint was renewed, but the media outlet said the prosecutor did not appear at the hearing.
