"In the first five months of the year, there was a 59% increase in threats against news outlets and journalists compared to 2018. (...) From Jan. 1 to May 20, 2022, FLIP recorded 97 threats against the media and journalists. In other words, one reporter was threatened every day and a half. In this same period in 2018, during the last presidential elections, FLIP recorded 61 victims of threats."
