“In response to the wave of criticism the Attorney General's Office received, including a letter from dozens of social communication professors, which denounced alleged persecution from the entity against journalism, the investigating body released details of the meeting that Francisco Barbosa [Colombia's Attorney General] held with Jhonatan Bock, executive director of FLIP [Press Freedom Foundation], regarding the concerns that the foundation has in the context of freedom of expression and thought. Never before has the Attorney General's Office ordered an inspection of the organization that protects fundamental rights such as freedom of the press."
