More than 50 videos on YouTube featuring actors posing as journalists have amassed 32 million views in a coordinated push to legitimize Interim President Delcy Rodríguez. The campaign, spanning 14 channels, is connected to the Buenos Aires-based advertising agency FG Medios Sociedad Anónima.
Cazadores de Fake News determined the presenters who narrate the videos are a group of actors and models based in Argentina. They are citizens of Argentina, Colombia, and Chilea. Several have experience in voice-over and dubbing, allowing them to simulate different accents depending on the supposed country of origin of each newscast.
