"The impact of forced internal displacement on women journalists threatened with death in Mexico, the lack of policies to stop this violation of human rights and the shortcomings in the accompaniment of those who are forced to leave everything are the focus of an investigation presented by the organization Comunicación e Información de la Mujer (CIMAC, by its Spanish acronym), with testimonies of professionals who live under these conditions.
'This diagnosis intends to make visible a very serious problem in our country that has been hidden. Despite the fact that the Mexican State recognizes that it exists, it has not taken any action to document what is happening, nor to stop it and protect women journalists to save their lives,' sociologist and journalist Lucía Lagunes Huertas, who directs CIMAC, told Télam from Mexico City."
