"[Mexican] journalist Armando Linares was murdered this Tuesday [March 15] in Zitácuaro, in the state of Michoacán, as reported by the State Prosecutor's Office. The attack occurred in the afternoon (local time) 'at a private address,' according to a report from the public prosecutor.
The reporter, director of the Monitor Michoacán portal, had denounced threats from officials after the murder in January of journalist Roberto Toledo, a regular contributor to that same outlet. Linares is the eighth journalist murdered so far this year in Mexico, the most dangerous country in the world for communication professionals."
