"A group of 15 journalists and administrative staff of the Salvadoran digital news outlet El Faro filed a lawsuit on Wed. Oct. 11 in a federal court in California against the technology company NSO Group, creator of the Pegasus software, which they accuse of violating fraud and data abuse laws.
The lawsuit against NSO Group, an Israeli company financed and controlled by U.S.-based companies, is asking the court to condemn the company. Also, to force it to disclose the identity of the clients who used Pegasus software to spy on this group of journalists and other El Faro workers.
Between June 2020 and November 2021, at least 22 of El Faro's just over 30 staff members were victims of Pegasus software attacks, according to the court document."
