Executives from Argentina's state-owned network TV Pública resign from posts

"Following the resignation on Friday [March 22] of producer Juan Parodi as director of the [Argentine state-owned channel, TV Pública] –less than two months after his appointment on Feb. 5–, yesterday Mateo Baldarenas, director of human resources, and Eugenia Bereciartua, director of administration and finance of Radio y Televisión Argentina (RTA), also resigned.

According to union sources, there are fears of massive layoffs after Easter week. Parodi, who will officially leave his post the day after tomorrow, and the channel's production staff encouraged employees to take all their remaining paid and compensatory time off, and they were warned about the impossibility of renewing contracts. [...] Among the measures that came to light, it is worth mentioning that from Thursday, March 28 to Tuesday, April 2, the channel will have no live programming."
