"After 206 days of an enforced disappearance that kept his family and colleagues on tenterhooks, the location of journalist Rory Branker has been confirmed. He is being held in the cells of the Bolivarian National Police in Boleíta (Zone 7), Caracas, Venezuela.
His mother was able to see him for the first time, as confirmed by the Caracas branch of the National Association of Journalists (CNP, for its acronym in Spanish) and the National Association of Press Workers (SNTP) on social media on the morning of Monday, Sept. 15. According to his family's account to the SNTP, it was Branker himself who, through a phone call, reported where the authorities would transfer him.

It is unknown whether the journalist was brought before the courts or charged with any crimes, even though months have passed since his detention."
