“[Colombia's] Foundation for Press Freedom (FLIP, for its acronym in Spanish) spoke out this Wednesday [May 15] regarding President Gustavo Petro's recent questions, objections and criticisms against several media outlets and journalists. Along these lines, the organization warned that the Head of State 'persists in his strategy of delegitimizing journalism.'
According to FLIP, in recent weeks it has documented various accusations and qualifiers on social networks by not only the president, but also senior public officials and members of the Government coalition, which stigmatize the work of journalism in the country."
