Forcibly displaced female journalists in Mexico agree they are forgotten by the State

“In Mexico, the forced internal displacement of female journalists is made invisible, since the phenomenon is not recognized by the State; Lacking official records, care is not provided to prevent it and provide substantive solutions to victims.

For this investigation, six displaced journalists from Jalisco, Guanajuato, Chihuahua, Guerrero and Veracruz were interviewed. All of them agree that they were forgotten by the State, neither the local nor the federal governments have given them the necessary attention, much less have they guaranteed their safe return so that they can continue carrying out their journalistic work.”
