Free course to improve the use of social networks and cyber resilience of Latino journalists in coverage of 2021 elections

"Supported by Facebook, the initiative is an expansion of the project carried out by the Brazilian institutions Redes Cordiais and ITS that has trained more than 1,300 journalists in Brazil and Mexico. Registrations for the free course are now open.

New technologies have changed the information ecosystem. In the digital age, the journalist needs to be present on social media. It's a great source for finding new stories, contacts, audiences, and interacting with readers. On the other hand, social media represents challenges to find a balance between work and personal life, contributes new ethical and legal factors, and demands a new look at the issues of security and privacy of press professionals. A redoubled effort with the emotional health of reporters and media network moderators is even more necessary."
