Gabo Foundation celebrates 30 years with free festival in Bogotá

"On its 30th anniversary, the Gabo Foundation celebrates by opening the doors of the Gabo Festival: three days of free and open access to share conversations that we are passionate about and that help us decipher today's world. For the fourth consecutive year, Bogotá will be the home of this cultural event, the most important for journalists and storytellers in Iberoamerica, which will take place from July 25 to 27, 2025.

[...]

As usual, the Festival will once again be a meeting place for journalists, creators, citizens and story lovers of all ages who, inspired by Gabo's legacy, will reflect on the challenges of the world and our region such as violence, migration, the climate crisis, misinformation and the arrival of powers that put our democracy at risk. But it will also be the place to see and see ourselves beyond the urgent; to discover new meanings in the cracks and, through a better informed present and future, find reasons for hope; to unleash our creative spring, to build communities that are more aware and participative in their social and cultural environment, which find in the testimonies and experiences of others a space to continue expressing themselves."
