"The Honduran College of Journalists (CPH) made a statement on June 23rd through its Twitter account, after a group of journalists were called as witnesses and now they want to prosecute them.
This refers to the Specialized Prosecution Unit Against Corruption Networks (Uferco) who summoned a number of journalists as witnesses to investigate a case of possible embezzlement of funds through resources earmarked for advertising.
'We are vigilant in the face of a malicious action that is being forged against Honduran journalists with the clear intention of discrediting and destroying their reputation and attacking freedom of expression and of the press. Beware, comrades. We will not be silenced,' the publication states."
