"The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) and its Office of the Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Expression (RELE) condemn the murder of the Lenca indigenous leader and community journalist Pablo Isabel Hernández Rivera in Honduras. It urges the State of Honduras to investigate the events in a prompt and diligent manner. Likewise, it asks that it analyze whether the activity of defending human rights and the practice of journalism were a motive for this punishable offense according to inter-American standards."
