"The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) issued Resolution 32/2024 on May 16, 2024, by which it granted precautionary measures to journalist Aldemar Solano Cuellar, and his son, after considering that they are in a serious and urgent situation, since their rights to life and personal integrity face a risk of irreparable harm in Colombia.
The request alleged that Aldemar Solano Cuellar, director of the digital news program 'Conexión,' in the department of Meta, and his son Aldemar have been subjected to death threats and extortion by the illegal armed group Clan del Golfo, to get him to join the organization."
