"The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) issued Resolution 42/2023 on July 24, 2023, by which it granted precautionary measures in favor of Peruvian Gustavo Andrés Gorriti Ellenbogen, after identifying that he is in a situation of risk of irreparable harm to his rights.
According to the requesting party, Gustavo Gorriti is the director of IDL-Reporteros, a journalistic investigation team of the Instituto de Defensa Legal (IDL), and an investigative journalist dedicated to topics of politics, culture, corruption, human rights violations, and social issues.
Since 2019, the journalist has allegedly been subject to various acts of harassment and threats -- such as continuous death threats and anti-Semitic messages. He has also been subject to leaks on social media of his personal information."
