"On Tuesday [Aug. 13], the 25th anniversary of the murder of Colombian journalist and comedian Jaime Garzón, the Inter American Press Association (IAPA) pays tribute to him and urges an end to impunity in the case, which has not brought to justice all those implicated in his murder.
The IAPA remembers the popular journalist and political comedian as part of its 'Voices Calling for Justice' campaign, which urges everyone to keep alive the memory of reporters killed in the line of duty.
On August 1999, two people on a motorcycle fired five shots at Garzón while he on his way to the Radionet radio station in Bogotá."
