In Bolivia, groups attack journalists, destroy their equipment ahead of march

"Groups allegedly related to the Movimiento Al Socialismo (MAS) attacked journalists this Friday [Nov. 11], destroyed press equipment and burned tires at the headquarters of the Chamber of Industry, Commerce, Services and Tourism of Santa Cruz (Cainco). This happened in the middle of the unlocking of the first and second rings of the Santa Cruz capital.

Before noon, a group of people, who were making way for the guild march called by the leader René Troncoso, physically attacked Unitel journalist Yerko Guevara when he was covering the mobilization in the eastern city.

The communicator, however, was not the only one attacked by the marchers. Cameramen trying to record the incident were also attacked. Two of them had video cameras used to do their work destroyed."
