"A Madrid court has acquitted journalist José Manzaneda of the crimes of defamation and hate after he was accused by the president of the association Prisoners Defenders, Javier Larrondo, a critic of the Cuban regime.
The court determined that the journalist called Larrondo a 'war criminal' in an article in a metaphorical sense and within freedom of expression.
The head of the 31st Criminal Court of Madrid has issued an acquittal for the journalist and for the association Euskadi Cuba, also accused as the owner of the web domain of the media outlet Cuba Información, in which Manzaneda published the article."
