“On Tuesday morning [Dec, 3] journalist Adriano Bachega Olvera, editor in chief of the news portal Diario Digital Online in Nuevo León, Mexico, was murdered. The Nuevo Leon Attorney General's Office confirmed that the attack occurred this Tuesday, around 9:45 a.m., on Lazaro Cardenas Avenue, near the border between Monterrey and San Pedro Garza Garcia.
Adriano Bachega, 53 years old, was attacked by an armed group that fired at least 10 shots at his vehicle. Initial reports indicate that the car was left in the middle of the avenue after the attack. The journalist, originally from Argentina and a naturalized Mexican citizen, was also a recognized consultant and lecturer on communication issues.”
