“One of the most popular journalists in Argentina sued the president of that country, Javier Milei, for criminal defamation (injurias) after the president accused him of being a liar and extortionist for his criticism of the Israeli ambassador's participation in a cabinet meeting.
Jorge Lanata, founder of a newspaper, author of several books and currently host of one of the most listened radio programs in the country, filed through his lawyers a criminal lawsuit for defamation (injurias) and a civil lawsuit for reparations against Milei this Thursday [April 28] in the courts of Buenos Aires, the journalist confirmed.
He is the first to sue the libertarian president since he took office on Dec. 10, although he is not the only one whom Milei criticized for his opinions.”
