"A journalist, whose name is omitted for security reasons, from the sports media outlet Mediotiempo, was the victim of multiple attacks during his coverage of Liga MX soccer on Dec. 8. Among the attacks documented by ARTICLE 19 are physical attacks by directors of the Cruz Azul Soccer Club and security personnel at the venue, threats by security elements, and intimidating messages by unknown subjects. The accumulation of violations of human rights and the integrity of the journalist must be duly investigated by the corresponding authorities."
