Man arrested in Argentina for assault on TV journalist during protest

A 45-year-old man was arrested by police in Buenos Aires for allegedly striking TN news channel journalist Martín González from behind during a protest near the National Congress, authorities told La Nación.

City surveillance operators identified the suspect through security camera footage, leading to his arrest about an hour after the incident. The case is being handled by the city's Eastern Flagrancy Unit, coordinated by prosecutor Federico Tropea.

González was attacked while speaking with another protester but was not on air at the time. The suspect, wearing a black shirt and an Argentine flag, struck him from behind before fleeing and later heckled him from a distance.
