"Four days before the first round of municipal elections [in Brazil], Abraji has been receiving reports of tensions between the local press and politicians. The newspaper Gazeta de Limeira, which is 89-years-old and covers five cities in the interior of São Paulo, says its professionals are being prevented from following press conferences from the city hall. Reporters from the site Marília Notícias, created six years ago, claim to be the target of a smear campaign by a candidate."
