"The journalist Ariel Grajales Rodas, who was shot early Wednesday morning [August 21] at his home in the Esquipulas neighborhood of Villaflores, was reported to be in 'stable' condition, according to the Chiapas Attorney General's Office.
The agency announced that it urgently requested the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection, the Investigative Police, and municipal police to implement protective measures for the journalist, who runs the news portal Villaflores.com.mx.
