Mexican journalist fears for his safety after attack on family business

"Victor Lagunas, director of Tj Comunica [a digital media outlet in Baja California, Mexico], fears for his safety and that of his family after it was confirmed through closed circuit videos that hooded men set fire to his family business, the furniture store 'El Tigre,' with Molotov cocktails.

A few days ago, it was reported that the furniture store 'El Tigre,' an establishment with more than 30 years of history, was set on fire. Initially, the fire was thought to be an accident. However, recovered security videos clearly show two hooded men breaking the windows and throwing Molotov cocktails inside the store, causing the fire.

Lagunas Peñaloza has reported the events to the Mexican Attorney General's Office to investigate them as possibly being related to his work as a journalist, during which he has denounced public security events."
