"After being reported missing, authorities in Sonora [Mexico] confirmed the discovery of the lifeless journalist Juan Arjón López [on Aug. 16].

'Since we had knowledge through social media we began to organize searches in all places. Now that the discovery has been made, we continue to work on the investigation to clarify the case and not rule out any line of investigation,' [the prosecutor] stated.
The prosecutor confirmed that the body of Arjón López, who was a member of the Group of Independent Communicators and Journalists, showed 'signs of violence.'"
