"Sports journalist Marion Reimers obtained a 'historic' resolution from a judge that orders the federal mechanism for the protection of journalists to immediately give her protection measures against the digital violence that she has faced for 15 years as a sports communicator, the soccer commentator and her legal team announced this Thursday [Dec. 7].
'There is a resolution from a judge that tells the protection mechanism "put in place measures to protect what is happening to Marion," that is a resolution that has no way of being changed,' explained lawyer José Mario De la Garza Marroquín from the Perteneces organization that supports Reimers in her case.
In this way, the Mechanism for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders and Journalists, attached to the Ministry of the Interior, received an order from a judge of a Collegiate Court of Mexico City to immediately give protection measures to Reimers and put in place policies against digital violence".
