"Manuel González Reyes, a reporter on the crime beat and administrator of the PM Noticias portal on Facebook, was murdered on Tuesday [Sept. 28], police sources reported.
The Attorney General's Office of the State of Morelos (FGEM) specified that the crime occurred on Leandro Valle street, El Miraval neighborhood, in Cuernavaca, and that the person or persons responsible apparently fled to the Patios de la Estación neighborhood.
He also announced that the journalist carried a credential that accredited him as a worker for the digital media outlet Portal Morelos, and that he had injuries caused by a firearm to the head."
