Mexico: CPJ condemns Sinaloa governor's 'verbal attacks' against journalist

“The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) condemned 'verbal attacks' from the governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, after he  held journalists Azucena Uresti and Luis Chaparro responsible for what may happen to him. This follows reports that have emerged about the wave of violence affecting Culiacán and about discoveries and possible links to organized crime.

'CPJ condemns the verbal attacks by Sinaloa state governor Rubén Rocha Moya to investigative reporters. Governor Moya was reported to have said that journalists Azucena Uresti and Luis Chaparro 'are responsible for what happens to him' after their reports on the wave of criminal violence in the state,' CPJ Americas said on its official X account."
