"The wave of violence against journalists in Mexico continues. On Tuesday night (Aug. 2), journalist Ernesto Méndez, director of the media outlet 'Tú Voz,' was killed during an attack on a bar in the Cerro Prieto neighborhood in San Luis de la Paz, in Guanajuato; this is the 13th homicide of a communicator so far this year.
An armed group burst into the place and attacked four people, including the director of the newspaper. Organization Article 19 said the bar is owned by the Méndez family."
