"Jorge Luis Camero Zazueta, nicknamed El Choche, was shot to death on Thursday, Feb. 24, in the Libertad neighborhood in Sonora. The journalist worked for the portal El Informativo and until two weeks ago he worked as private secretary to Mayor Luis Fuentes Aguilar at the Empalme City Hall. (...) According to local media, the 28-year-old journalist received at least 3 bullet wounds. (...) In 2022, there are already 6 murders of journalists in Mexico. José Luis Gamboa, Margarito Martínez, Lourdes Maldonado, Roberto Toledo, and Heber López were assassinated this year for their journalistic work."
