"In Tijuana, epicenter of the murders of journalists in recent weeks and one of the most complicated places to practice reporting in Mexico, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador shared the judicial process being followed on some of the crimes against journalists. [...] In most of the reported cases, the gunmen who fired the shots have been identified or arrested, but who instigated the murder remains to be found, so that the danger completely disappears.
During the habitual morning press conference, the tearful voice of a reporter asking for justice and transparency for her colleagues buried was heard. The same thing happened on the Tuesday, Feb. 15 "mañanera" conference, where some news professionals refused to ask the president questions as a form of protest."
