"The alleged murderer of journalist Armando Linares López, Carlos Gerardo alias '02', was arrested in Michoacán, as reported by the authorities.
Armando Linares López was shot dead on March 15, 2022, in the municipality of Zitácuaro, Michoacán. He had reported threats due to his work as a journalist.
The Michoacán State Attorney General's Office identified two alleged material authors of Armando Linares' death, Carlos Gerardo 'S' and Magdiel 'U,' for whom a reward of 100,000 [Mexican] pesos [about US $6,000] was being offered in exchange for information on their whereabouts."
