Mexico: Tijuana journalists join forces to do justice to their murdered colleagues, says El País in a special article

"Tijuana's journalists, united these days by force of gunpowder, work more hours than the day is long to continue reporting on their city and, at the same time, to do the work that the Prosecutor's office should speed up in carrying out.

Aware that the crimes against their colleagues in the Semanario Zeta go unpunished—as well as more than 90% of the 51 journalists killed in Mexico since Andrés Manuel López Obrador took office—and that the cases of Margarito [Martínez] and Lourdes [Maldonado ] run the same risk, they have joined forces to seek evidence, clues, confidants within crime organizations, who can help them solve them the two murders, with the main goal of bringing about justice."
