"Journalist Francisco Hernández Elvira, leader of the Journalists Club of the municipality of Isla, state of Veracruz, was found alive and beaten early Wed. morning [Nov. 23], after being reported missing on Nov. 20.
The State Commission for the Attention and Protection of Journalists (CEAPP, by its Spanish acronym) said the journalist is safe and sound, and that he will be offered all protection measures to guarantee his physical integrity.
