"Opposition politicians and non-governmental organizations in Venezuela called this Sunday [July 23] for the release of Roland Carreño, a journalist who worked in the team of former interim president Juan Guaidó and who completed this weekend 1,000 days in prison since he was arrested for allegedly 'promoting violent actions.'
'Roland [Carreño] is innocent and was imprisoned for fighting for a free Venezuela (...) 1,000 days in unjust prison is inhumane,' said the Voluntad Popular (VP) party.
VP's denunciation has been supported in social media by opposition parties and several NGOs, among which stands out the so-called Coalition for Human Rights and Democracy that demanded the journalist's freedom and an end to procedural delay."
