Paraguay: IACHR considers the State responsible for the death of journalist Santiago Leguizamón

"The son of the late journalist Santiago Leguizamón confirmed that they received the release that the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) considers that the Paraguayan State is responsible for his father's death.

On April 26, 1991, he was killed by hitmen in the border town of Pedro Juan Caballero. In March 1991, as a correspondent for the daily newspaper Noticias, he helped with a series of investigative features about drug trafficking, money laundering, soy smuggling and theft of vehicles."
