"Peru's Judiciary postponed the start of the trial scheduled for this Thursday for the death of young journalist Melisa Alfaro, who died in 1991 due to the explosion of an envelope bomb, allegedly prepared by the Army Intelligence Service, during the government of then President Alberto Fujimori (...) In October 1991, Alfaro was 23 years old and was head of information for the weekly Cambio, a news outlet that had questioned the Fujimori government on several occasions. On the 10th of that month, at her workplace, the young woman received an envelope addressed to the news outlet director and containing 200 grams of ambo-gelatin, an explosive material that detonated and caused her death."
