On Feb. 4, Ospina reported on X (formerly Twitter) that a user identified as 'Luis Hidalgo W' responded to her posts with threatening messages. 'Your days are numbered, you son of a b****,' were the words the individual used to attack the journalist.

This is not the first time a social media user has harassed the journalist with hateful messages. In February 2025, Ospina reported that she was the victim of a systematic harassment campaign, in which she was attacked with xenophobic and misogynistic insults."
