“Iván Escudero, investigative reporter for the Sunday program Panorama (Peru), reported that he has been stalked.
On July 12, an unknown person entered the building where he lives and left an envelope with two photographs: one of Escudero leaving the television channel and another of a close relative.
The journalist is investigating Peruvian politician Vladimir Cerrón, who is a fugitive. In the report, Escudero shows Cerrón has threatened top commanders of the Peruvian National Intelligence Office to prevent his capture.
Escudero said he’s being surveilled as retaliation for his investigations. Escudero filed a report on the incident with Peruvian authorities”.
