"Since April 16, 2024, when Hollman Morris was appointed director of Colombian public broadcasting service RTVC, the Foundation for Press Freedom (FLIP for its initials in Spanish) has documented more than 30 cases of workers reporting censorship and editorial pressure within the country’s public media system. In the past 11 months, multiple media outlets have also published investigations exposing repeated irregularities in the system’s management.
Accounts from RTVC journalists reveal direct pressure to modify or remove news content, particularly stories related to the opposition or critical of the government.

RTVC director Hollman Morris has responded by attempting to discredit reports and attacking media outlets and journalists covering the situation inside the public media system. He has singled out El País (Spain), El País (Cali), Revista Semana, Caracol Radio, Blu Radio, Infobae, El Colombiano, and others. Morris claims these reports serve outside interests and dismisses accounts from RTVC workers who have denounced censorship, harassment, and pressure."
