"Media outlets from Argentina, Brazil and Cuba were awarded during the 11th edition of the Roche Health Journalism Award in the categories of written journalism, audiovisual journalism and daily coverage. The awards were delivered in Panama City [on Nov. 16, 2023].

'Partos rotos' [Broken births], published by partoscuba.info from Cuba, which describes obstetric violence through various testimonies of women who have been impacted by these practices, was awarded as best work in the written journalism category. [...] 'Transplante de Órgãos' [Organ transplant], an investigation published in Brazil's TV Globo and which addresses the importance of organ donation culture, was awarded within the audiovisual journalism category.

'La devastadora ola de trastornos psíquicos' [The devastating wave of psychiatric disorders], a work published by Argentine newspaper La Nación, which exposed the need to implement public policies that promote the expansion of care capacity through adequate infrastructure, tools and interdisciplinary teams by the State, was the winner in the daily coverage category."
