"Diomedes Farid Manrique, an announcer for Olímpica Stereo and Fontera Estéreo, lost his life in a confusing incident. According to initial reports, two men on a motorcycle shot the journalist and one of his friends.
The incident occurred in Villa del Sol, Maicao, at the intersection of Calle 32 and Carrera 26, at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Jan. 19.
Maicao authorities reported that the Olímpica Stereo announcer was in a commercial establishment with one of his friends when they were attacked by two men riding a motorcycle who repeatedly shot at them."
