Radio station in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, closes down after requesting concession renewal

"On Friday, April 26, the National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel, by its Spanish acronym) closed down the radio station Minuto 106.1 FM in Barquisimeto, Lara [Venezuela]. The National Union of Press Workers (SNTP) reported that the station requested to renew the concession with Conatel without receiving a response.
