"A woman was injured after being shot at [on the night of Sunday, Dec. 1] while driving her truck on Captain Alonso de León Avenue in [the municipality of] Montemorelos [in the Mexican state of Nuevo León]. The victim, identified as Victoria Monserrat García, 32, a contributor to the news portal Marmat Noticias, was wounded in the arm.
According to police reports, the attack occurred when García was returning from covering a Christmas event in the municipality. According to witnesses and preliminary reports, the woman was driving her truck […] when she was intercepted by armed men, who opened fire on her without saying a word.
