"Film historian Thibaut Bruttin was appointed general director of Reporters Without Borders (RSF, for its acronym in French), succeeding journalist Christophe Deloire, who died in June of cancer, the Paris-based NGO announced this Wednesday [July 10].
'We are convinced that Thibaut Bruttin is the ideal person to lead RSF in this new phase of its development and in a difficult international context for the right to information,' said journalist Pierre Haski, president of the organization, in a statement.
Bruttin, 37, has been part of the organization since 2014 and will succeed Deloire, who led RSF for 12 years and died in June at the age of 53."
